Top entry ball valves are mainly used in pipelines and industrial systems. On the basis of traditional full bore ball valves, they have advantages such as online maintenance and reduced leakage. The operation methods can be manual, gearbox, pneumatic, electric, gas-liquid actuator, electro-hydraulic actuator, etc.
Top entry ball valves are widely used in industries such as oil and gas pipelines, petroleum production, refining, petrochemical, chemical, chemical fiber, metallurgy, power, and food. Due to the advantage of less leakage, the top entry ball valve is more suitable for low emission working conditions.
Structural characteristics
1.The body of valve adopts top mounted structure, and accessories can be replaced online to reduce maintenance costs.
2.The valve seat is designed according to API 6D and is divided into three sealing structures: DBB, DIB-1, and DIB-2.
3.There are three types of sealing structures between the valve seat and the ball:
I Traditional plastic soft sealing structure design;
II Design of triangular ring sealing structure mainly VITON AED;
III Design of PMSS soft and metal to metal sealing structure.
4.The valve stem is designed to anti-blow out, which can prevent the valve stem blow out from the valve body due to improper operation;
5.Equipped with fire safe and anti-static devices;
6.The valve seat seal and valve stem seal are designed with an emergency sealing grease injection inlet. Normal sealing does not rely on sealing grease. When the sealing surface is damaged and causes leakage, sealing grease can be injected for emergency repair. Install a grease valve and an embedded check valve at each grease injection port.
7.Drain outlets and vent outlets. A drain valve is installed at the lowest position of the valve body, which can empty and drain the valve chamber; A vent valve is installed on the upper part of the valve body, which can be used to vent and clean the valve chamber. The drain valve and vent valve can be isolation valves or specialized discharge joints, ensure safety, reliability, and convenient usage.
8.A mounting pad that can be matched with various actuators. They include the lever, worm gear, electric, pneumatic, gas over oil, electro-hydraulic actuator, etc.,
9.Buried design. Valves installed underground, with stems extended according to project requirement to facilitate above ground operation, and corresponding grease injection, drainage, and venting devices extended from pipes to the ground.
